  1. Family Caregiver Support | South Carolina Department on Aging: This program works with 10 regional Area Agencies on Aging to administer the Family Caregiver Support Program. They provide information and assistance to family caregivers, respite care, and supplemental services to help caregivers better care for their loved ones. South Carolina Chapter – Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia: This organization offers monthly support groups to help caregivers cope with challenges, learn tips from others, and better understand the disease process of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
